Technical Consultant for assisting DEYAMV in modernisation, Zone Separation, automatisation of the inner Water Network, in the Municipal area of Volos and N. Ionia, aiming at minimisation of losses and assurance of adequate and good quality potable water

Consultant for assisting DEYAMV in the assesment of current water supply situation in N. Ionia area, water network zoning and calculations, water network separation in water losses control zones (District Metered Areas – DMAs). Control stations and relevant equipment determination. General plans and basic design plans of proposed works. Assistance in Project Data documentation (scope determination, losses estimation report etc).

Software development for the operation of the National Data Bank of Hydrological & Meteorological Information (NDBHMI - 3rd Phase) using GIS - Publish of the Database

The project comprises of 5 discrete phases:
- Data entry and processing
- Software and equipment supply for web operation
- Automatic Telemetric Meteorogical Station Network
- Locate position using GPS
- Consulting and Project Management - Technical Suppport - Capacity Building

Implemetation of RBMP's at the river basins districts of Peloponnese, European Comission's Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, Act 3199/2003 and P.D. 51/2007

This study was separated at three phases. The documents required at each phase were:
A Phase
- The identification of appropriate competent authorities
- Register of protected areas
- Economic analysis of water uses. Recovery of the costs of water services including environmental and resource costs
- Alternative proposals of flexible water pricing policies
- Characterisation and typology of surface water bodies. Initial and further characterisation of groundwater bodies.
- Reference Conditions for surface water body types

i-adapt: Innovative approaches to halt desertification in Pinios. Piloting emerging technologies

The project seeks to provide a specific, actionable plan for combating desertification based on emerging technologies piloted in parts of the basin and quantify the expected impact of this plan on the water balance and local economy.
Specific project objectives include:
1.Engage stakeholders to identify major impacts of desertification in Pinios and existing applications of new technologies and techniques (agriculture).
2. Identify and assess the effectiveness of all existing initiatives, pilots and experimental applications of new technologies.
